THREAD | Development

A fashion development studio connecting the right specialist, expertise, and production partners to move products from idea to production.

GREAT PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT RARELY COMES FROM ONE PERSON DOING EVERYTHING.

CANDICE STOKES

That’s why THREAD was built

THREAD was founded by Candice Stokes, a technical designer and pattern maker with a deep understanding of what it takes to move a product from an idea into production.

Over the years, Candice saw how quickly product development could become overwhelming. Brands are often expected to navigate technical design, patternmaking, sourcing, sampling, manufacturing, and countless production details — sometimes without the internal team or specialized expertise to support it all.

She built THREAD from a simple observation: developing a great product shouldn’t require one person to know how to do everything.

Instead of trying to be everything under one roof, THREAD brings together trusted specialists based on what each product actually needs. Candice and her team work alongside brands as a true product development partner, providing the technical expertise, strategic guidance, and production support needed to move from concept to production with greater clarity and confidence.

THREAD becomes an extension of your team — stepping in where additional expertise or capacity is needed, solving problems before they reach production, and connecting the right people to the right parts of the process.

Because great products shouldn’t get stuck in the gaps between idea and production.

THREAD was built to help close those gaps.
